Who we are
ANIPA is operated by Rian. We decide how the details below are used, and we are responsible for them.
What we collect
- Your mobile number, used to verify you and to keep one passport per number. If you join or verify on WhatsApp, this is the number your message comes from.
- Your name, city, three favourite anime titles and age bracket (18 or older, or under 18).
- A parent or guardian's mobile number, for members under 18.
- The event code or referral number in the link you joined with.
- Your passport number and points history.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp or by email.
We do not ask for an email address, college, date of birth or photograph to issue a passport.
Why we use it
We use these details to issue and run your passport: allocating your number, adding event stamps, crediting points and referrals, confirming consent for members under 18, answering your messages and preventing duplicate or fake sign-ups.
Who can see it
Your passport page and passport image show your name, city, passport number, three anime titles and event stamp. Anyone with the link can open them, so share the link only with people you choose. We ask search engines not to index passport pages.
We use service providers to host the website, store the database and verify mobile numbers by SMS or WhatsApp. They process details only to provide that service to us. We do not sell your details.
How we protect it
Your mobile number, name and any parent's number are stored encrypted. Our team sees mobile numbers masked by default, and every time one is revealed or exported, it is logged.
Members under 18
We keep a parent or guardian's mobile number so we can confirm with them. The passport stays provisional until they do. If no one confirms within 7 days, the passport and the parent's number are deleted automatically.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while your passport is active. When you ask us to delete them, we delete your passport record and its points history. Issued passport numbers are never reissued.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your details, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Reply STOP on WhatsApp or email privacy@getanipa.com. You can raise any concern about how we handle your details at the same address.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
